Akaroa Guided Sea Kayak Safari is a locally owned and operated adventure company located just a stone’s throw from the water.
From our office we look across the Harbour at the beautiful French Bay area, are we fortunate !
Brent, your guide and host, completed his Guide Training with Sea Kayak Instruction and Leadership System (SKILS) of British Columbia, Canada. This internationally recognised training body is setting standards of training and safety unparalleled in the sea kayaking world.
Brent holds a valid St John First Aid certificate.
We take your comfort and safety seriously. On all our guided Safari’s we carry the following safety equipment as a minimum: spare paddles, water pump, towing lines, cell phone, VHF providing weather updates & emergency communications, first aid pack, spare warm clothes, gloves, hats, thermals, repair kit.
Brent created Akaroa Guided Sea Kayak Safari’s in 2009 after extensive research, training and in consultation with Maritime New Zealand on their recommended safety & procedure standards.
